EPPM Program S1: EPPM Program Launching Seminar,

Seminar 1 (S1) is the launching seminar of the 4-year CCOP-Norway Program for Enhancing Public Petroleum Management for the CCOP Member Countries (EPPM). The Seminar provided information on the EPPM Program plan and contents, capacity building activities, and coordination set up to maximize the benefit of EPPM to the Member Countries (MC). In addition, technical presentations were added to give an overview of the current issues related to gas development and Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS).
A total of 33 participants from the oil & gas regulatory agencies, national oil companies, geoscience research agencies, academic institutions, and CCOP Technical Secretariat staff attended the Seminar. They represent the Member Countries- China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. In addition, Timor Leste was invited and sponsored by the Program as observer. Also, 6 resource persons from Norway attended the Seminar, courtesy of NPD and PETRAD, the partner Norwegian organizations in the EPPM Program.
