"To facilitate and coordinate the implementation of applied geoscience programmes in East and Southeast Asia in order to contribute to economic development and an improved quality of life within the region."

ECF2018 3rd Oil and Gas Tech Innovation Award Report

ECF2018 3rd Oil and Gas Tech Innovation Award Ceremony took place during the evening of October 17th, 2018 at Jianguo Hotel, Shanghai, China. Initiated by Shanghai United Institute for Unconventional Resources and the Coordinating Committee for Geoscience Programmes in East and Southeast Asia (CCOP). This award aims to recognize and reward innovative technologies and products that has the potential to make significant contributions towards the oil and gas industry.
In order to ensure the safety of energy supply, China continues to increase the exploration and development of domestic shale gas. In recent years, a significant increase in technical recoverable reserves has been seen in China. As the great achievement been made, it is critical for the industry to convert these technology recoverable reserves into economically recoverable reserves.
This year a total of 5 technical entries have been awarded this honor, as introduced below.
1. Integrated High-Efficient Exploration and Development Technology of Coalbed Methane in South Sichuan Junlian Block Mountain Area Award: ECF2018 Oil and Gas Tech Innovation Award for Exploration & Production Technology
Submitted by: PetroChina Zhejiang Oilfield Company
2. Multi-Stage Perforating Technology in Shale Gas Horizontal Wells Award: ECF2018 Oil and Gas Tech Innovation Award for Exploration & Production Technology
Submitted by: Sinopec Jianghan Oilfield Service Corporation Logging Company
3. Integrated Natural Gas Gathering Devices Award: ECF2018 Oil and Gas Tech Innovation Award for Cost Reduction & Efficiency Enhancement Technology
Submitted by: Shaanxi Aerospace Delin Technology Group Co., Ltd
4. A Clean Slick Water Fracturing Fluid Award: ECF2018 Oil and Gas Tech Innovation Award for Stimulation & EOR Technology
Submitted by: Beijing Gepetto Oil Technology Co.,Ltd
5. Complete Technology and Device for Shale Gas Exploitation Wastewater Utilization Award: ECF2018 Oil and Gas Tech Innovation Award for Environment & Energy Conservation
Submitted by: Zigong Light Industry Design and Research Institute
All these above technologies have received very positive feedback from technical experts and summit attendees. ECF has received numerous inquiries regarding these award entries, with the common faith that these technologies represent the future development trend of the industry and carry significant market potentials.
Dr. Dhiti Tulyatid, regional expert of CCOP Technical Secretariat delivered a speech during the Award Ceremony and said that, “it is the time that everybody must quickly adapt to changes, tackle all the challenges that we are facings and seek for the best opportunities for the best operation on the global energy cooperation, exploration production, and services. This current global energy situation is highly dynamic. The development trend remains to focus on diversification. The enhancement of cost reduction and efficiency has been the important priorities for the companies’ management. This year we witness excellent development on exploration and production Technology, cost reduction and efficiency, without sacrificing our invaluable environment and energy conservation.”
In the coming year of 2019, Energy China Forum 2019 9th Asia-Pacific Shale Gas Summit will be held on September and has already started accepting applications for speakers, sponsoring opportunities and award nominations for 4th Oil & Gas Tech Innovation Award:
ECF2019 4th Oil and Gas Tech Innovation Award:
submit your applications for the opportunity to present your equipment, technology or products during ECF2019. Selected winners may have the opportunity to receive project matchmaking services from ECF, and to transfer from concepts or prototypes into market share. You are encouraged to develop your applications focusing on multidisciplinary approach, innovation, product reliability and cost reduction in an environmentally friendly manner.
